What is Santa in the City? Santa in the City is a 5km walk or run around the City of London, starting and finishing in Paternoster Square, by St Paul’s Cathedral.
When is Santa in the City? Santa in the City is taking place on 3rd, 4th & 5th December 2026.
How far is Santa in the City? Santa in the City, London, is 5km.
How do I take part in Santa in the City? You can register here. Each place costs £32.95, which includes your 5-piece Santa suit and Santa in the City medal.
Is Santa in the City a Run or a Walk? … IT’S NOW BOTH!!! So please feel free to walk or run. Santa Walkers start at 7.00pm, and Santa Runners start at 7.15pm.
Is there a virtual Santa walk or run happening? Yes, there is! You can walk or run anywhere, anytime in December, and it is free to enter, but you can purchase a Santa Suit, medal, and walking or running number if you want to.
Is there a bag drop at this event? No. Unfortunately, due to security reasons, there will not be a bag drop, so please come walk or run ready or be prepared to walk or run with your bag. Any items/bags left unattended may be removed and destroyed. If you do see a bag unattended, please advise the event or security team immediately, apologies for any inconvenience caused.
What happens if I find I can’t make it to Santa in the City? If you have signed up and can’t make it, or would like to now walk or run virtually or defer your place, see below.
What are the registration options? You can register as an Individual or register as a group.
What is the minimum size for a Group or Team? The minimum size for a Group is two people.
Do I have to be part of a team to take part? No, not at all.
Can I walk or run for a Charity? Yes, you can walk or run for any charity of your choice, but it is not a condition of taking part. If you need some inspiration, please see our directory of charity partners.
How much is a Santa in the City walking or running place? Santa in the City London walking or running places are £32.95 pp, which includes your Santa suit, walking or running number and medal. Virtual walking or running places do not include a Santa suit, walking or running number, or medal, which can be purchased separately.
How much is the booking fee? There is no booking fee for this event.
How old do I need to be to enter? Walkers or runners must be over 3 years old to enter. All walkers or runners between 3yrs - and 18 years are free; they receive a medal but do not receive a Santa suit.
Children aged 3-8 years need to be accompanied by a participating adult at all times. The participating adult can accompany a maximum of three 3-8-year-olds and must have them within arm’s reach throughout the walk or run.
Children aged 9-18 years must have parental permission to take part and have a responsible adult (+18 years) available at the event. The responsible adult does not need to take part in the walk or run.
All children (3-18 years) must register for a place via the website and have a parent/guardian complete a Child Registration form for them in advance, or they will be refused entry on the day.
If I pay for a Santa in the City walking or running place and then find I can't do the walk or run, what are my options?
You have two options in this event they are:
Option 1 - Transfer your place to another person by emailing the event team at santa@tfaevents.co.uk. Please put 'TRANSFER' in the title of the email and include your name, walking or running confirmation number, and the person who will be taking your place.
Option 2 - Defer your place to 2027 by email by emailing the event team at santa@tfaevents.co.uk. Please put 'DEFER' in the title of the email and include your name and walking or running confirmation number in the email. You cannot defer your place after 6.00 pm on 30 November.

Is Santa in the City accessible? Our Santa in the City route is fully accessible for participants wanting to take part in wheelchairs or with buggies.
Santa Suits…
When do I get my Santa Suit and medal?
If you are walking or running the event virtually, Santa suits and medals are available for purchase on the website during the registration process.
For actual Santa in the City walkers or runners, Santa Suits can be collected on the day of the event at the Santa in the City registration point:
London - from 11.30 am. This is located at Paternoster Square, City of London.
You will be given a medal at the finish line.
What size is the Santa suit? Santa suits come in one size. The trousers are adjustable at the waist, and the jacket can be adjusted using the suit belt. Please find the dimensions of the suit below:
Jacket - Length 88cm, Shoulder Width 45cm, Chest 56cm, Sleeve 52cm
Trousers - Length 110cm, Waist 62cm
Can I get my Santa Suit before the day of my event? Yes, just contact us, and we will arrange with you, delivery costs apply of from £25.00.
Can I order extra Santa Suits & medals? Yes, you can. They are available and can be purchased when you register. Please note that postage fees will apply (see above for more info!)
Are children’s Santa Suits available? Unfortunately, we do not supply children’s Santa Suits. Children are welcome to walk or run for free; they must be at least 8 years old to take part, and are welcome to wear their festive outfits.
What time can I check in on the day of Santa in the City, London? You can check in from when you receive your participant number.
What time does the walk or run start?
The walk or run starts at 7.00 pm for walkers and 7.15pm for runners. Please be at the start point ready to walk or run 5-10 minutes before your wave is due to start.
Does Santa in the City have a bag drop? There is, unfortunately, no bag drop, so please travel light. Please do not leave any bags unattended in the event area, as they will be removed and may be destroyed. If you do see a bag unattended, please advise the event or security team immediately. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
When can I do ‘My Virtual Santa walk or run’? Anytime and anywhere in December.
